MDHHS Awards Grant to Boost Behavioral Health Mediation Services

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has awarded a grant to develop and implement a statewide system of local mediation services to resolve disputes related to behavioral health services provided by Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSP) and their contract providers.

This grant, drafted with the help of SEDRS Executive Director Marc Stanley, has been awarded to Oakland Mediation Center as the fiduciary for spearheading the initiative in partnership with local area mediation centers. The project funded by this grant is expected to be fully implemented by September 2021.
